Opinions Please!

When I started this blog it was intended to be a short term thing. I wanted to get myself writing and didn't really care where or who sees it. 99% of my now over 500 page view have come straight from my friends on Facebook. I haven't been worried at all about promoting my blog otherwise, or advertising on it either. My plan is to eventually narrow down my writing style/topics and design it myself. I am getting close to being able to do this. There are just a few things I still need...

  • domain name
  • a niche
  • more HTML/PHP knowledge
If anyone has any suggestions to help with anything on the list I would appreciate your input. Maybe some comments on what your favorite post has been so far. I have been intentionally varying topics and style in order to see what people are most likely to read. Yes, you are all my guinea pigs, and pretty cute ones at that. Thank you!

I also am thinking this blogging thing is a little one sided for my liking. I have thought it would be really fun to have a site where I am able to really interact with people. Maybe I could give people advice, or have a place where people could do a guest blog post, or answer a question about myself each week. I really don't know. I have also considered doing video blogging (vlogging I believe is the hip term) seeing as all this typing isn't great on my hands and I am sure you would all love to see my beautiful face more often.

Honestly, if I had to pick something right now and go with it, I would love to have people send me any kind of question, and I would do video responses. Of course this would mean I would need to get some basic video editing skills and maybe some software. I have always liked the idea of having a talk show too, so the idea of finding interesting people and doing interviews would be fun too.

I am trying to get creative in my head, so if any of you creative types don't mind throwing some seeds my way, I'd love to hear your thoughts! I don't know if i have my email visible anywhere, but it is marci.rose.baker@gmail.com. I get it if you don't want to subscribe to comment, or even do so publicly on Facebook, but feel free to email me. I wanna hear from you.
